Professional Background
From 7th-Grade Social Studies to Shaping Freelance Futures
In 2012, Laura transitioned from serving as a 7th-grade Social Studies teacher to starting her own business as a freelance writer, digital marketing strategist, and book launch consultant supporting clients across the legal, financial, accounting, and publishing industries. Laura's own entry into remote entrepreneurship was driven by her role as a military spouse, a lifestyle that led to over a dozen moves all over the country due to her husband's career.
Her career has been defined by versatility: she has served as a fractional CMO, director of marketing and partnerships, content strategist, and project manager, and has also been formally trained in advertising by the best in the field.
Throughout her freelance career, she has ghostwritten millions of words for clients and shaped the marketing strategies of hundreds of businesses.

Every day, Laura brings a rare blend of creative intuition and operational clarity. She understands both the artistry and the business mechanics — from how ideas move from draft to finished book, how to create a loyal table, and what truly builds long-term readership.
